Our Top 5 Ways to Use Florals on Your Special Day

Love florals?!? So do we!

Let’s just say it, flowers are SO fun, and they can make for some of the most gorgeous photographs.

If you’re a floral lover like us, and know that you want to incorporate them into your upcoming nuptials, we’ve got some suggestions for where and how you can use them for a day you’ll never forget!

1. YOUR BOUQUET

When you imagine a bride walking down the aisle to the person of their dreams, what do you imagine that bride looking like?

More importantly, what do you see in their hands? If you’re thinking in your mind - “a bouquet!” - not only are we sort of mind readers, but that’s perfect, because it’s the first, and arguably one of the most impactful ways to use florals at your wedding.

One of the great things about a bouquet is that it can be anything you’d like.

From the colors to the type of flowers you choose, it can truly bring the entire vision of your wedding theme together in just one little handheld, fragrant, beautiful package.

2. YOUR RECEPTION CENTERPIECES

Next up, we have the option to use florals as centerpieces. Walking into a reception and sitting at an elegantly decorated table can really enhance the experience your guests have, and it can also make the space, whether inside or outside, feel like a dream.

Depending on how many are in your bridal party, you can cut down on costs by having your bridesmaids, after the ceremony, walk into the reception space and place their bouquet in a vase on each table.

Not only is this a way to save a little money while still ensuring your theme carries through from ceremony to reception, but if they’d like to keep them, your bridesmaids can just grab them back off the tables at the end of the night, forgoing a bunch of floral waste and making for easy clean-up too!

3. YOUR SWEETHEART TABLE

Speaking of your reception, one of the best places to put florals, other than the tables your guests will be enjoying their time at, is your sweetheart table.

If you don’t know already, a sweetheart table is basically the designated spot for, well, you and your sweetheart :)

This is where you and your spouse will hang out for most of the eating/drinking portion of the evening, so why not be surrounded by florals to feel like you’re in your own personal garden, just soaking in the time with your loved one.

Your sweetheart table will also most likely be a picture-heavy spot, so having some flowers to add some color and really embellish those photos will look amazing.

4. YOUR CAKE

Ever heard of the expression “you can have your cake and eat it too?”

Well, that’s how we feel about florals on your wedding cake.

You can of course use real flowers on your cake, but what’s even cooler is that they now make edible flowers!

“Have your florals and eat them too?” We like it. Actually no, we love it :)

5. YOUR STATIONARY PHOTOS

Last but certainly not least, you can have your photographer use some of your florals for shots of your ‘save the date,’ invitation, etc.

When looking back in your scrapbook years after the wedding, having photos with all of the elements from your big day will make the memories that much fonder.
