9.3.21 - Christine & Gage - Sunnybrae Mansion Wedding
Christine and Gage held their late summer wedding at the stunning Sunnybrae Mansion in Milford, DE.
The property itself has so much character both inside and outside of the main mansion house, and there’s a beautiful surrounding landscape with amazing photo opportunities!
Christine got ready in the morning with the help of Caitlin Boone of Pretty Weird Beauty, and then got into her dress, adorned by an incredible veil by Lamnhi Studio.
The couple chose to partake in what’s often called a wedding weekend, with various activities spanning across multiple days rather than just having a rehearsal/dinner and the day of the wedding.
Their flat lays, beautifully done by photographer Megan Harris, included a double ring box personalized with their initials, a thank you to their guests, and a mix of lightly colored florals to go along with their bright, angelic theme.
Gage was fitted in a sleek black tuxedo by The QG with a white pocket square to add contrast. Having also spent the morning preparing in the house, once dressed and ready, he and Christine took advantage of the beautiful afternoon light pouring into the garden out front to get some photos in before the ceremony began.
It was then time for their outdoor ceremony! The couple and their wedding party processed from the back of the mansion house and made their way down the aisle, and it was quite the family affair! Christine’s sister was asked to officiate the wedding, and she was walked down by her mother who also happened to be her Matron of Honor!
Christine and Gage decided to each read personally written vows for one another, and with a slightly smaller guest count, it was such a sweet and intimate portion of the day.
After the ceremony, guests were then invited across the lawn to enjoy cocktail hour. Gorgeous lounge seating was provided by White Glove Rentals, as well as the gold glass shelf holding champagne guests were greeted with as they went to find their seat!
The couple’s vision for their tablescape consisted of a clean white base with accents of gold and loose greenery. To add some fun color and to incorporate the garden environment, they chose an assortment of floral china for their coffee station :)
The reception and rest of the evening was full of love, laughter, and touching moments. Each of the couple’s siblings, among others, gave speeches, Christine and Gage cut their floral-filled cake, and guests were quick to jump on the dance floor!
It was altogether a beautiful day celebrating a fantastic couple ❤️
